The 25 Greatest

Recently, to celebrate its first 25 years, MLS came out with its list of 25 greatest players in league history... and surprisingly did a rather good job (except for one rather obvious oversight, a ridiculous omission that starts with "T" and ends with "hierry Henry"). Not to be outdone, we will do the same on MetroFanatic (for Metro history, of course).
Before we get to the list, let's explain the criteria:
Only contributions to Metro matter. Whatever you did the rest of your soccer career is irrelevant.
Longevity matters. Players who spent more time with Metro are given priorities to those with shorter stints.
A player must appear on at least one of our five-year Best XIs, as depicted here (1996-2000, 2001-2005, etc.).
