MetroFanatic: Joe, last year you said you were proud to have been a member of the MetroStars.
Joe Vide: I was happy I was drafted by the MetroStars, I was part of the team for two weeks. Looking back, it will always be exciting to say that I was part of the MLS original franchises, even if it was for a short amount of time. Just excited to say that, but I'm also happy that Red Bull came. They're doing a fantastic job for us now.

MF: Last year, it seemed like you had no role on the team under Mo Johnston, but when Richie came in, your role greatly increased.
JV: Yeah, under Mo I was a reserve player, I dressed for the majority of the games, but when Richie took over, we started to have more injuries, and my role increased, I picked up the game a little bit, catch up a bit to the speed of the play, was able to show my talents and help out the team a little bit more.
