The New York Reserves lost to the D.C. United Reserves 4-0 Wednesday evening immediately following the first team's 3-1 loss at RFK Stadium.

United struck early after it was awarded a free kick 25 yards from goal in the third minute. Nicholas Addlery's struck a long distance shot that goalkeeper Jon Conway failed to hold onto. The ball fell into the path of an onrushing Bryan Arguez who collided with the goalkeeper, but managed to slide the ball across the goal line.

D.C.'s Rod Dyachenko doubled the team's advantage in the 15th when he and Domenic Mediate played a quick give-and-go just outside the goal box. Dyachenko collected Mediate's return and drilled a shot far post past Conway.

United increased its lead to three in the 54th minute when Domenic Mediate collected a ball on the left wing. He sent a long cross into the box that defender Bobby Boswell rose to meet. Boswell headed the ball back across the mouth of the goal to Mira Mupier who easily sent the ball past Conway and into the net.

Mupier got his second of the night just two minutes later when he received a through ball from Justin Moose. Mupier muscled past his defender and then squeaked the ball under the approaching Conway.
