Mexican international Jesus Mendoza is joining Metro for training camp in Austria. Although listed as a striker, he will be looked at left midfield, reports SoccerByIves. Also joining Metro are four trialists who survived the California stay, defenders Scott Palguta and Teddy Niziolek, and forwards Chris Megaloudis and Kevin Mesa.

Mendoza has been previously linked with the Chicago Fire and the San Jose Earthquakes, but SBI reports that RBNY holds the discovery claim on the Mexican and would get first choice if it comes to that. The well-traveled Mendoza has last been with Morelia and has played for Leon, Chivas, America, Monterrey, San Luis, and Atlante. He has been capped 11 times for his country.
