MLS rejects Dilly Duka
July 10, 2009

Thank you, Major League Soccer. A US youth international who wants to play in your league, for his local team... Rules in place which allow the team to sign him...

But no.

According to SoccerByIves, RBNY's attempt to sign Duka was denied by MLS. "Red Bulls have been denied Duka because he wasn't an official academy player before attending Rutgers (he is now a member of the Red Bulls Under-20 team)," Galarcep writes.

So now, Duka will likely look towards Europe.

Absurd.

Idiotic.

Major League Soccer.

That being said... if these are the rules... why didn't Juan Carlos Osorio and Jeff Agoos know them?

Absurd.

Idiotic.

Red Bull New York.
