Walter Zenga to be made an offer?
December 22, 2009

So, we wanted a coach with American soccer experienced. Be careful what you wish for.

Walter Zenga, the former Italian international, who spent 1997 with the New England Revolution as a player, and 1999 as a player and head coach, has been linked with RBNY, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The notoriously-finicky Italian paper says that RBNY is about to make Zenga an offer.

After not even lasting a full season as the head man of the Revs, Zenga has been on a 10-year-old team-switching coaching bender, including various club in Romania. He was most recently sacked by Palermo.

Update: According to SoccerByIves, the two sides have not talked... yet.
