Damian Silvera, an original MetroStar, has passed away on June 14th at the age of 35. Silvera spent the 1996 season with the club after being one of the Metros' four original allocations. During that year, he played for the US at the Olympics. He was traded to Kansas City the following offseason and was out of MLS soon after.
