Roy Miller scores a goal
July 8, 2015
He might still be scoreless in six years with Metro, but Roy Miller scored his second international goal today. Facing off against Kemar Lawrence's Jamaica in the Gold Cup opener, Miller headed in a free kick for Costa Rica to tie the game at 1:1. It eventually ended 2:2, with Miller beaten on the Jamaican equalizer.
Miller is the third current Metro to score a regulation goal in the Gold Cup. He follows Dwayne De Rosario, who tallied two penalties in 2011, and Rafael Marquez, who found the competition worthy of his supposed greatness during the same tournament.
