Mike Grella to miss rest of the year
June 29, 2017 (Official Press Release)

New York Red Bulls midfielder Mike Grella will miss the remainder of the 2017 season due to knee surgery. Grella will undergo surgery next week to address discomfort in his left knee.

The Glen Cove, New York native has missed time this season while receiving treatment. Grella received treatment in March that caused him to miss all of April, and returned to the lineup as a sub against Philadelphia on May 6. In total, he has made eight appearances this season.

Grella has made 73 regular season appearances for the club, recording 16 goals and 13 assists since signing after a successful trial in February of 2015.
