According to Romania's DigiSport, Metro is hot on the trail of winger Alexandru Ionita. The 22-year-old is currently a teammate of Anatole Abang at Astra Giurgiu.

DigiSport reports that Ionita is also wanted by local clubs CFR Cluj, CSU Craiova, as well as Kayserispor of Turkey. It reports that RBNY has put in a 1.5 million euro bid for the player. He is under contract through the end of the 2017-18 season.

Ionita came through with Rapid Bucharest, debuting with the first team during the 2010-11 season. He was capped for Romania in an October 2017 qualifier against Kazakhstan.
