August 3, 2018 (Official Press Release)
The Los Angeles Football Club announced today that it has signed defender Danilo da Silva on a five-month loan from Brazilian side Internacional after acquiring Silva's rights from the New York Red Bulls in exchange for a fourth round selection in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.
Silva, signed using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM), will occupy an international slot and will be added to the roster pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 Visa.
Silva will be reunited with LAFC head coach Bob Bradley 13 years after making his professional debut with the MetroStars in 2005. In his first and only season in MLS, the 6-foot-1 defender saw action in five regular season contests.
