Metro clinches first round bye
September 29, 2018

Thanks to Minnesota United, Metro has clinched a first round playoff bye with four games left. Minnesota defeated NYCFC 2:1, meaning that the blue team can no longer catch Metro in the standings (they max out at Metro's currently total at 59 points, but are guaranteed to lose the wins tiebreaker).

Metro will play the opening leg on the road on November 4, followed by the home leg on November 11.

If Metro does not beat Atlanta tomorrow, the second seed would be basically a formality.
