Ben Mines claimed off waivers by Cincinnati

FC Cincinnati selected former New York Red Bulls midfielder/forward Ben Mines with the first selection of the 2020 End-of-Year Waivers Draft on Wednesday afternoon. With the selection, Cincinnati now possess the winger's MLS rights and can initiate contract negotiations.

A Red Bull Academy product, Mines has made a combined 57 appearances, including 20 starts, while scoring five goals and adding six assists for the New York Red Bulls and New York Red Bulls II since 2016. The Ridgefield, CT native made five appearances, including one start, scoring a goal and adding an assist in MLS regular-season matches this season.
