The New York Red Bulls have signed New York Red Bulls II midfielder Amos Shapiro-Thompson to a short-term loan, the club announced today. The midfielder will be available for the Red Bulls' home match against D.C. United tonight in the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

Shapiro-Thompson, 23, has made six appearances for New York Red Bulls II this season after signing an MLS NEXT Pro contract in March of 2023. The midfielder has logged 480 minutes this season and leads the team in shots up to this point. The Boston College product was drafted in the third round of the 2023 MLS SuperDraft by the New York Red Bulls.
