15-year-old Julian Hall signed to homegrown deal
September 7, 2023 (Official Press Release)
The New York Red Bulls have signed Red Bulls Academy Product Julian Zakrzewski Hall to an MLS contract as a homegrown, the club announced today. Hall has signed a three-and-a-half-year first-team contract as a homegrown through 2026 with an option for 2027.
"We are very excited to add Julian to our roster for this season and also the long-term," said Head of Sport Jochen Schneider. "Julian has had a very good season, not just at the Academy level, but the MLS NEXT Pro level as well and he has demonstrated that he has the qualities to succeed in our system."
Hall, 15, has most recently played for New York Red Bulls II in MLS NEXT Pro, where he has made seven appearances this season. He became the youngest goal scorer in NYRB II history at 15 years and 73 days old after he scored against New England Revolution II on June 4. He also tallied his first professional assist in the same match.
Over the last three seasons, Hall has made 39 appearances in MLS NEXT for Red Bulls Academy, where he has scored 28 goals. The Manhattan native scored five goals in this year's U-15 MLS NEXT Cup, including the game-tying goal which initiated the comeback for the U-15's to win the MLS NEXT Cup for the first time in club history. Hall was awarded the MLS NEXT Cup MVP for his efforts in the tournament. He won the GA Cup Golden Boot for the scoring the most goals at the 2023 edition of the tournament with four and helped the U-15's defeat Chelsea FC Academy in a 3-0 win, where he scored a brace.
"We have seen very good things from Julian over the last calendar year," said Head Coach Troy Lesesne. "Julian is a very promising young striker that has a lot of potential and we are excited to help him to continue to grow."
Hall was called up to his first U-15 United States Youth National team camp in March and has also been called up to the Poland Youth National Team as well. Hall was named to the United States roster for the U-15 CONCACAF Championship, where he helped lead the USYNT to win the tournament after a 4-2 win in the final over Mexico.
