Last week sure was a nice break from the banalities for the season, but Metro can't exactly play for minor league teams or winless catastrophes anymore. Instead, we're back to the daily grind, and back on the road, where Metro remained winless in MLS play after a 2:1 loss to Nashville.

With two games every week for the rest of May and the derby just three days from now, Sandro Schwarz decided to rest... just Kyle Duncan, for Cameron Harper. And it looked fine early on, as the first half an hour was fairly even. Then, in the 34th, a turnover in midfield led to an odd-man rush the other way, and Nashville converted from the top of the box.

Surely, Schwarz would make some adjustments at halftime, but all he did was take off the ever-improving Omar Valencia for the underwhelming Raheem Edwards. Metro did even the game in the 56th, after a blazing run by Harper on the right. His perfect cross into the box was met by the head of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who scored his seventh of the year.

The tie lasted just seven minutes, as Nashville rushed up their left side. Former Metro Alex Muyl received the ball in the box and passed it back to Hany Mukhtar, who easily made it 2:1. And that was the final score.

Metro's lone good chance after scoring came before the go-ahead goal, when Emil Forsberg found himself alone in the box, but shot directly at the keeper. Despite playing a much quicker game than they had previously this year (having Harper and Daniel Edelman helps), they didn't exactly make Nashville shiver. Schwarz inserted Alexander Hack, switching to three central defenders, hoping to shake things up... but when the attacking subs are Julian Hall and Wiktor Bogacz, that's like playing nine versus eleven.

No, Metro will not score seven (or even four) in every game. Sadly, the team we saw tonight was more representative of this year...

Lineup: Coronel, Valencia, Eile, Nealis, Harper, Edelman, Carballo, Carmona, Sofo, Forsberg, Choupo-Moting. Subs: Edwards, Hack, Stroud, Hall, Bogacz.
