Last Week: It was a final rout on the scale yet unseen, as Dave van den Bergh crushed Jon Conway, 83% to 17%. (By comparison, the largest final victory before was Amado Guavara over Eddie Gaven in 2004, 77% to 23%.) Congratulations to van den Bergh, who was rumored to be on the block the past offseason, but has been the team's most consistent player all year and is now the fifth holder of the title of MetroFanatic Survivor!
Welcome to MetroFanatic Survivor! Last year, Juan Pablo Angel defeated Jozy Altidore in the final to win the fourth edition of the competition. The eighteen Metro regulars are divided into two tribes: New Jersey (players drafted by Metro) and New York (players signed/traded for by Metro). Each week, vote off the player you think least deserves to be the Ultimate Metro Survivor. Just like in the real Survivor, each week a tribe will be granted immunity and will be expempt from the vote. The immunity will be chosen by MetroFanatic and will usually go to the tribe which has this week's Metro of the Week (or to that player individually). When the tribes dwindle, they will merge into the Metro Tribe and the Ultimate Metro Survivor will be crowned!
