As 2009 is all but ready to claim the title as the worst season in Metro history, let's figure out who is... the Worst. Metro. (Player.) Ever. And we're going to do it scientifically: a bracket with 48 contenders, seeded 1-12.
But how do we figure out who is the worst? Well, there are three ways to quanity suckitude: a player with horrible skill (Edmundo Rodriguez, Martin Klinger). A player who did not meet expectations (Steve Shak, Claudio Reyna). A player who performed horribly during his Metro stint (Oscar Echeverry, Khano Smith).
So, each player is rated from 0 to 5 in three categories: Skill, Expectation, and Performance. Using the incredibly complex formula, S-E+P, we come up with the total suckitude rating which is then used to determine the seedings. You can click on each player's name to find out their ratings. A player has to play in at least six games in all competitions (we accidentally included Andrew Restrepo, who only played five; so be it). And remember, you're voting on their Metro stint as a player ONLY. It should not include their stint in management (Alexi Lalas) or with another teams (Diego Serna, Jaime Moreno)... if we considered those things, the bracket would look completely different.
And the winner loser is... Edmundo Rodriguez!
