Media Day with Fabian Taylor
April 13, 2004
MetroFanatic: Fabian, we've heard that of all of new signings, Bob is most looking forward to you.
Fabian Taylor: Yeah, I'm just here to try to help the team, to go forward. I'm ready.
MF: What's your situation, did Harbour View loan you to the MetroStars?
FT: Yeah, it was a loan for the rest of the season.
MF: Do you plan to be here for just one year?
FT: I don't know yet about that. I'm just here to do my time, to perform and help the team.
MF: We heard you're much better than Damani Ralph.
FT: (laughs) I have nothing to say about that. I'm just here to help the team.
MF: Is your ultimate goal playing in Europe?
FT: Yeah, definitely. I think any soccer player dreams of playing in Europe. That's where the bucks is.
MF: You scored a lot of goals in Jamaica. Do you see doing that in this league? Is it different from the Jamaican league?
FT: Yeah, definitely different. It's more competitive here, more physical here. It's more quicker here than in Jamaica. I think it's more difficult here to score goals, but I think I will get a few goals.
MF: Is your role gonna be off the bench?
FT: Any player would love to start any game, but that's up to the coach to decide who starts and who comes off the bench.
MF: What's your relationship with Magee and Wolyniec?
FT: Very good, they're very good players. Really talented players, it's going on good.
