The MetroStars announced today that they have waived defender Tenywa Bonseu. Bonseu was acquired along with the 21st overall pick in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft by the Metros on December 3, 2003 in exchange for defender Steve Jolley. He appeared in 14 games for the Metro, starting 13 of them. His season was ended prematurely when he suffered a partially torn left Achilles Tendon in a game against the Columbus Crew on September 18.

Bonseu has also played for the Dallas Burn in 2002-2003, the Columbus Crew in 2001 and the Chicago Fire in 2000.
