With Jonny Walker out with an injury, the MetroStars have claimed goalkeeper Dan Kennedy off waivers to back up Zach Wells. Kennedy was drafted by Chivas USA in the 4th round of the SuperDraft, but failed to make the expansion team. Last year, he backstopped UC Santa Barbara to the College Cup final, where they lost to Indiana on penalty kicks.
