Kevin Terry is a blind jackass
July 8, 2005

We're not unbiased at MetroFanatic. No, we're very biased, and that's the point of this website. That said, we rarely bash the referees, unless it's really appropriate. In the long run, the bad calls even out. That said, the call by Kevin Terry that gave Salt Lake a tie and stole two points from Metro was THE WORST PENALTY KICK CALL IN SOCCER HISTORY. Seriously.

You probably didn't see the game because it was not on TV and, inexplicably, the highlights are not even on MLSnet, but now you can see them on MsgNetwork.com. You will see the goals by Ante Razov and Mike Magee, but skip to the end. You will see a ball being sent into the Metro area, but so completely miss-hit that's it's going over the end line. Jason Kreis and Carlos Mendes are running under the ball, with no chance of reaching it; its too high and also in front of them. So what does Kreis do? He runs into Mendes, and falls down. Then he stays on the ground, looks up to see if there is a penalty call, and when given one, stays on the ground for an extra minute like he has just been hit by a truck. How on earth can ANYONE give a call on a play like that? But Terry did.

You are a jackass, Jason Kreis. And you are a jackass, Kevin Terry. There are bad calls and then there are bad calls. You stole our two points, you blind jackass.
