Metros looking to go Quill hunting
July 27, 2005
According to the New York Times and BigAppleSoccer, the MetroStars are about two sign MLS journeyman Eric Quill. Quill, who was last with Dallas, tore his calf earlier last year and was dropped from the team. He played for the Metro reserves -- and scored -- in their last match, a 3:0 win over Los Angles. He has also been on trial with DC.
Quill has been in the league since 1997, and has played for Tampa Bay, Kansas City, and Dallas. The left winger has scored 12 goals and 31 assists in his career, one and three of them in his last season.
