The FC Dallas Reserves defeated the New York Red Bulls Reserves 3-1 on Sunday morning at Pizza Hut Park. After a Blake Camp goal for New York, FCD received goals from Arturo Alvarez, Abe Thompson and Mario Torres to extend their Reserve Division undefeated streak to four consecutive games .

Played under a blazing sun and temperatures in the mid-90's, New York took the early lead after 11 minutes. Blake Camp took a free kick from 25 yards out in front of the goal, curling a hard shot into the right side of the goal leaving FCD goalkeeper Ray Burse no chance to stop it.

The Hoops evened the scored only six minutes later. With everyone forward for an FCD corner kick, the ball ended up on the back post to defender Alex Yi. He touched the ball back to the top of the box on the left side, where Arturo Alvarez hit a left-footed shot through a mass of bodies to the near post for his third Reserve Division goal.

The game-winning goal came in the 32 minute on a play that started from the right side. Alvarez sent a cross in the center to Abe Thompson, who waited for Alex Smith to make his run on the right. Smith received the ball inside the box near the endline, and when Jon Conway moved out to cover, Smith dropped the ball back in the center for Thompson. Conway did well to save Thompson's first shot to the near post, but the rebound fell back to the forward who hit a powerful shot that deflected off defender Steve Jolley on the goal line and into the goal.

FCD added an insurance goal in the 73 minute. Thompson sent midfielder Mario Torres a through ball from midfield, beating the offside trap. Torres took the ball alone for 35 yards with a defender chasing, drawing Conway off his line before placing the ball past the keepers right for the third goal of the game.
