Danny O'Rourke was reunited with old boss Mo Johnston in Toronto as a result of the expansion draft, but the reunion was brief as "Knuckles" was soon shipped to Columbus. Also drafted by Mo were former Metro Tim Regan and Metro-for-a-month Adrian Serioux (who Johnston traded for O'Rourke), who was also immediately traded, to Dallas for longtime Mo favorite Ronnie O'Brien.

Rumors have also surfaced that Regan could be dealt back to Metro in exchange for Edson Buddle. Johnston has hinted that Regan might be traded.
