Hugh MacDonald, who at the onset looked to be the most unlikely of all preseason invitees to make the roster, seems to have beaten the odds, MetroFanatic has learned. It looks like the Monmouth University product will be signed to a developmental contract, with details expected to be announced next week. The central defender played two years for the Hawks, captaining the team. MacDonald, a Kearny native, started his college career at Virginia Commonwealth University.
