Finally, the inevitable happened. Everyone's favorite MetroStar, Billy Walsh, bit the dust as the Metros announced their waivers. Perhaps the only negative of Billy being cut is the declining number of tickets that would scalped out of Chatham. It is only fitting that our last memory of Billy is the clueless look on his face as Cobi Jones took him to school in the decisive overtime in LA...

The following are Billy's words on June 30th, when he thought he was traded to Chicago:

"I'm dying to get out of here. There was a time when I never thought I'd say that but things have gotten really bad around here."
