Venezuelan international defender Gabriel Cichero is coming to Metro on loan, according to his club, Deportivo Italia. The loan will last through December 2008 with an option to extend it through 2009.

Prior to Italia, Cichero played in Uruguay for Montevideo Wanderers, and had short stints in Italy with Lecce and Bulgaria with Vihren Sandanski. The 24-year-old has also been capped for the Venezuelan national team.
