The Red Bulls announced today that defender Diego Jimenez has been returned to UAG Tecos of the Mexican First Division. Jimenez was acquired for the second half of the 2008 MLS season from UAG Tecos on July 29, 2008.

"We want to thank Diego for his time with the Red Bulls organization this season," said Red Bull New York Sporting Director Jeff Agoos. "However, Diego expressed an interest to return home to Mexico at the end of his loan period. We wish him success with Tecos this season."

Jimenez, 22, made his debut with the Red Bulls on August 24, 2008 and appeared in six regular season matches and four post-season matches. He earned his only assist in a 3-0 win over the Houston Dynamo on August 24, 2008.
