The MetroStars defeated FC Rot-Weiss 64 of Switzerland, 7-0, in an 80-minute scrimmage played at the Italian National Team Training Center in Coverciano, Italy. Captain Tab Ramos led the way with a pair of goals and assists, while trial player Byron Alvarez also scored twice in the rout. Birahim Diop and Sam Forko saw action in the win.
The win came just one day after the team completed an arduous 17-hour journey from Kean University-East Campus in Union, NJ to the training center in Coverciano, Italy. The team encountered a delay in Rome, Italy.
Former Mutiny defender Joe Addo has joined the team in Italy and played the full match.
