Walter Garcia on trial at Leeds
November 15, 2009
When Walter Garcia was courted by RBNY, he refused a trial and was signed without one. But now, apparently released by Metro, a trial is what he is going on, with Leeds United in England's third tier.
When Garcia was signed, Jeff Agoos said "we're excited to have him on board and will use the remainder of the season to evaluate him." The evaluation lasted all of 81 minutes of league play, as Garcia replaced the injured Mike Petke in the season-ending win over Toronto.
