RBNY has announced its protected list for Wednesday's expansion draft, and it does not include John Wolyniec (for the fourth straight year), Mike Petke, and Danny Cepero. Metro had to protect three internationals, hence the inclusion of Carlos Johnson and Ernst Oebster (and obviously Juan Pablo Angel; the other foreign-born players on the protected list do not count as internationals in MLS). RBNY can lose a maximum one player to expansion Philadelphia; five of the 15 teams will not lose anymore.
