Miami takes it on the Chinn, 3:1
March 12, 2010 (Official Game Summary)
New York Red Bulls forward Conor Chinn tallied two goals in a six minute span in the second half to turn a 1-1 tie into a 3-1 win for New York in a preseason friendly with NASL side, Miami FC, this afternoon at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. The Red Bulls stretched their preseason record to 6-0-3 with the win.
Trialist Salou Ibrahim made an immediate impact, latching onto a Joel Lindpere cross in the third minute to give New York an early lead. Miami pulled even in the 16th minute, Edward Santeliz putting home a rebound after Red Bulls goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul made the initial save.
Much like the start of the match, New York was dangerous right from the second half whistle, getting back on top just three minutes in when Chinn nodded home a Lindpere cross. Chinn found the back of the net again six minutes later, this time with an individual effort down the right side, taking on a defender and slotting it home.
