In fact, three of the four World Cup winners to play in MLS have played for Metro (Henry will be the fourth). So let's see how the resumes stack up:

* Both Donadoni and Matthaus participated in a Euro while a member of the MetroStars. Donadoni's 6th Milan title came after his stint with Metro.
So... it's hard to compete with Matthaus' overall resume. Five World Cups, one World Cup title -- as captain, eight domestic titles, European, World Player of the Year... But Matthaus never won the Champions League, which Henry has. In fact, he is one of a select group of players to win the World Cup and the Euro Championship, as well as a domestic title and the Champions League. And when you start considering the various personal accolades...
Welcome, Thierry Henry!
