Erik Stover named MLS Executive of the Year

Major League Soccer announced today that Red Bull New York Managing Director Erik Stover was named the Doug Hamilton Executive of the Year.
"I am extremely honored to be named the Doug Hamilton Executive of the Year," Stover said. "As a team, we have worked very hard to build a club that our fans can be proud of. I think we have taken a significant step towards this goal with what we accomplished this year both on and off the field. I want to thank all of our employees, fans and the league for their support and we are optimistic that we have a very bright future ahead."
Concluding his third season with the Red Bulls, Stover oversees all day-to-day business and commercial aspects of the club. Stover was also responsible for the construction of Red Bull Arena, the team's new stadium in Harrison, NJ and the premier soccer facility in North America. Additionally, Stover was instrumental in the signing of international superstars Thierry Henry and Rafa Marquez in Summer 2010 and bringing quality renowned clubs including Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus FC to play in Red Bull Arena.
Stover joined the organization on March 1, 2008, as Vice President, Operations, and General Manager of Red Bull Arena. He was promoted to his new position on May 28, 2008.
