Angel, Nielsen unprotected for expansion draft

In case it wasn't obvious already, Juan Pablo Angel has played his last game as a Metro. The all-time leading scorer in club history was left unprotected for the expansion draft. However, since he is out of contract at the end of the calendar year, all Vancouver and Portland will be draft is the right to negotiate his deal.
Also unprotected is winger Brian Nielsen, who spent most of the year injured and whose contract is an iffy loan from supposedly Velje, but possibly Red Bull Salzburg.
