The tenure of Carlos Mendes, last remaining MetroStar, looks to be over. The defender, who has been with the team since 2005, has not had his option picked up. The same is the case with Chris Albright and Bouna Coundoul. The trio will now go into the two-stage re-entry draft, where any MLS team will have a chance to take them. Metro has the 11th pick of the draft.
