According to the Bolton Times, "Wanderers are confident they will be able to cut through the red tape in order to sign Tim Ream by the end of the week". The British paper reports that Bolton increased their offer to £2.5 million and that Ream is due at their stadium for a physical within the next two days.

The Times does raise concern about Ream acquiring a work permit, but then goes on to state that "sources close to the player are sure a visa will be granted, if only on appeal".
