Erik Soler opened up to the NY Post on various roster situations. For one, pencil in Swedish defender Markus Holgersson as a signing. "Markus Holgersson is a player that we hope we can announce shortly. He's a central defender. That's his best position. He played for Helsingborg who won the league and Cup in Sweden last year. He was their main man in their defense, meaning he was the boss back there. They were the best defensive team in the league. I'm very confident that he will do well for us."

If Holgersson is in, Tim Ream looked to be out. "I would say that it's more likely that he could end up abroad than it was before Christmas. So that means that we are in the process of discussions and it's getting closer." But never fear, a replacement is possibly lined up! "We're working on another very exciting option should Tim end up somewhere else and we feel that we need to add another defender, we have someone in the pocket should that happen."

The team is still negotiating with Frank Rost to return as a starter in goal, while signing a young American to be the backup. "We're also close to signing a young American goalkeeper that we have great belief in. So we're looking to finalize that also hopefully within a week. Frank's status will be more known within a week from now. Given his age, one idea could be to have him for the coming season and then add this young American so he can work off of Frank. But that's not decided a hundred percent yet. We believe that this goalkeeper that comes in will have a definite potential to be our future number one goalkeeper."

One player we should not expect back is oft-injured midfielder Carl Robinson. Soler is also looking for cover at left back, as well as forward. So... there is a plan. In theory...
