Markus Holgersson gets Swedish cap
January 23, 2012

It's not often that a Metro gets his first international cap. It's even rarer that the cap comes from a country other than the United States. And, until today, is has never happened for a European country.

New signing Markus Holgersson has bucked the trend, appearing for Sweden in their 5:0 trashing of Qatar. Holgersson played the entire match as the Scandinavians romped over the pathetic opposition.

Interestingly, "Clever" Hans has stated that the team will no longer sign players who have current international commitments. And with Sweden qualifying for this summer's Euro 2014... Well, we'll see how far Holgersson makes it.
