According to Hans Backe, Metro's chase for an experienced central midfielder has been shelved. So it is not clear if today's Swedish reports that RBNY is targeting Tobias Grahn are a remnant of things past, or if there is a potential moving forward.

In any case, Fotboll Skanalen reports that Grahn, an attacking midfielder currently with Mjallby, is being chased by RBNY. Grahn is quoted as saying that he is close to choosing a new club.

Grahn, 31, has spent a long career in various European leagues that included stints in Sweden (Osters, Malmo, Mjallby), Portugal (Beira Mar), Denmark (Lyngby, Aarhus, Odense, Randers), Norway (Valerenga), Spain (Gimnastic), and Germany (Hertha). He has four caps for Sweden, the last coming in 2003.
