Ireland with family

Days after Erik Soler "unequivocally" denied that Stephen Ireland will be signed "this summer", there is possible contradicting news from the Irish Independent. According to its website, "Ireland is close to completing a move to the New York Red Bulls that would see him head to MLS next month. Sources close to the deal have confirmed that the club hope to get the player before MLS's transfer window closes next month or else they will wait for the summer."

Who knows what the real situation will be, but one must note that Soler hasn't exactly been spot with telling the truth on this past offseason. He denied that Titi Henry would go on loan to Arsenal and that Tim Ream would be sold -- both moves obviously happened soon after the GM's statements. Of course, if Ireland is signed before the summer, there might not be any contradictions at all..
