Metro debut scorers

Both Kenny Cooper and Mehdi Ballouchy scoring last week reminded us that the duo is part of elite group: they both scored on their debut. That fraternity numbers 19; we previously looked at it in detail in 2008. So here are the ones since:
October 18, 2008: New York 3, Columbus 1; Danny Cepero
The unlikeliest goalscorer EVER, Cepero became the first goalie in MLS history to score a goal. Of course, he wouldn't even suited up if Jon Conway didn't get suspended for substance abuse. Cepero's "shot", a long bouncer in the 83rd minute that fooled the Crew goalkeeper, sealed a victory that Metro dearly needed to make the playoffs... Setting up more Cepero heroics, be it of a more conventional variety, on their route to the final. Metro goals: 1
July 30, 2009: W Connection 2, New York 2; Ernst Oebster
Ummmm... Do we have to talk about this? Ugh. Oebster, relentlessly pursued by Juan Carlos Osorio for over a year, made his Metro debut in the CONCACAF Champions League game against the Trinidadian semi-amateurs. He scored in a 48th, as his long shot took a deflection to even the score at 1:1. WE WILL NOT DISCUSS WHAT HAPPENED IN THE RETURN LEG. Metro goals: 1
March 27, 2010: New York 1, Chicago 0; Joel Lindpere
Ah, now here's a debut for the ages. The first regular season game ever at Red Bull Arena, and Lindpere started building his legend with a brilliant one-time shot from just outside the box in the 40th minute. It's the only goal on a delightful, historic day. Metro goals: 12+
September 16, 2010: Dallas 2, New York 2; Mehdi Ballouchy
Everyone was in an uproar as all-time leading scorer Juan Pablo Angel was benched in favor of a 4-5-1 and newly-acquired Ballouchy. The now-maligned Moroccan tied the game at 1:1 with a goal three minutes into first half injury time, scoring from close range off a Lindpere cross. Angel would come on to force the own goal that tied it at 2:2. Metro goals: 4+
March 11, 2012: Dallas 2, New York 1; Kenny Cooper
With Metro down 2:0, "Clever" Hans Backe finally decided to give Cooper his debut against his former team. In the 78th, Titi Henry sent a long ball into the box that bounced once, only for Frankencooper to slam it home on the rebound. Sadly, on that day, it proved to be too little too late...
