Perhaps Ryan Meara shouldn't get so comfortable in Metro nets. According to reports out of Egypt, RBNY has signed international goalkeeper El-Hany Soliman to a three-year deal. Soliman has spent his entire career with El-Ittihad. He has over 20 caps for the Egyptian national team.

The signing was "confirmed" to Egyptian Footy twitter by Soliman's brother, who said El-Hany signed a three-year deal.

The New York Post contacted RBNY and got the reply that no one has been signed, but "they're working on a few attacking options before the [transfer] window closes." The report was called "completely false". Soliman did train with the club when the Egyptian league shut down in February. He also had a trial with the LA Galaxy.
