According to the ever-reliable British press, this time the London Evening Standard, RBNY could be after Emmanuel Adebayor. Thierry Henry's former teammate at Arsenal is supposedly a target.

The Standard reports that "the Major League Soccer side have been in contact with Adebayor's advisors and are believed to be willing to match his £175,000-a-week wage at the Premier League club." That works out to something like $15 million a year? Seems logical, ever-reliable British press...

Adebayor is currently with Tottenham, on loan from Manchester City. He has also played at Metz, Monaco, Arsenal, and Real Madrid. He played for Togo at the 2006 World Cup.
