There are rumors out of England that Everton's Tim Cahill could be RBNY-bound. According to the BBC, "New York Red Bulls are closing in on a 1m pound deal for Tim Cahill, with Everton accepting a bid". The Australian midfielder has spent the last eight years at Goodison Park.

Cahill, 32, started his career with Millwall in 1998, before moving to his current club in 2004. He has made over 400 appearances in England, scoring 108 goals in league play. Cahill has played 57 times for Australia. He featured in last two World Cups, and scored a total of 24 goals for his country. He was named Oceania Footballer of the Year in 2004.
