McAllister lined up as Backe replacement?
October 4, 2012

There are still three games left in the regular season. The playoffs should start in a few weeks. Metro is in position to make a run to its first MLS Cup.

What the f@#k is going on?

General Manager Erik Soler, the man responsible for building arguably the strongest team in franchise history, was fired Monday. Today, SoccerByIves is reporting that former Scottish international Gary McAllister is "has emerged as a front-runner to lead the Red Bulls in 2013"... Yes, we have a front-runner for the manager job. A job that still belongs to Hans Backe.

Say what you want about "Clever" Hans, but he has the team winning. If you want to replace him, fine. But why stir the water NOW? Why not wait until the season is over? Oh, it's because, as SBI reports, McAllister is "a close confidant of Gerard Houllier", the man in charge of Red Bull soccer. Of course.

Oh well. Just when you thought this franchise couldn't get more f@#ked up...
