Once again, Arena leads ex-Metros to MLS Cup
December 1, 2012

Watching the MLS Cup was like watching ghosts of Metro past: Mike Magee and Ricardo Clark, the supposed cornerstones of the franchise when the pair was drafted in 2003. Brad Davis, the man traded so the Metros could draft Magee, and Mac Kandji joining Clark on the Dynamo. Todd Dunivant and Edson Buddle playing for LA, after being traded from Metro by their current boss: Bruce Arena, so unceremoniously fired by RBNY after his lone full season with the club.

So Arena gets his second straight MLS title with the 3:1 win, as do Magee and Dunivant, with Buddle's being his first. (And who can forget Andrew Boyens, who can't even make the bench, but is still a champion!) And here in Metro land... Well, the less said, the better.
