Trialists in camp

Camp has broken, Metro is still without a head coach, but, you know, what the hell, they'll hire someone one day, right? In any case, we now know the list of preseason trialists. They join the returning players, new acquisitions as well as draftees Ian Christianson, Ryan Clark, and Michael Bustamante (but, at this point, none of the other players taken in the supplemental draft).
Ethan Decker, F, academy player who committed to attend the University of North Carolina next year
Ruben Bover Izquierdo, M, 20, Spain, left winger who last played Roque de Lepe in the Spanish third division, on loan from Charlton
Marius Obekop, M, 18, Cameroon, U-17 international, plays for the delightfully named Renaissance de Ngoumou
Nicki Paterson, M, 27, Scotland, played for USL's Charleston and trialed with Metro last year
Tyler Ruthven, D, 24... released during the offseason. Welcome back, Tyler!
Toni Stahl, D, 27, Finland, ex-Philly Worm who spent the last two seasons with Fort Lauderdale of the NASL.
