Amado Guevara wants to return
June 3, 2013

Tony Meola. Steve Jolley. John Wolyniec. Clint Mathis. Mike Petke. What do all of them have in common? They were all Metro greats that left, only to return to the club at the tail end of their career. Could Amado Guevara be added to the list?

"El Lobo", now 37, has been toiling with his on-and-off club, Motagua, since 2010. However, he spent the last two weekends at Red Bull Arena, and was honored by the club before the last match. But there's more to it than that: "Amado would like to come back and retire with New York," a team source told BigAppleSoccer. "He'd like to play here again."

Now, Guevara hasn't exactly torn it up since leaving Metro, be it at Chivas USA, Toronto, or Motagua. And the age is creeping up there...

But he is still younger than Juninho, right?
